Microsoft builds VR toolkit to assist people with vision problems

Microsoft has developed a new tool kit for Unity VR developers that are aimed at helping those players who have low or poor vision.
The kit, called SeeingVR, includes 14 tools including a bifocal lens, a magnifier, controls for brightness and contrast, edge enhancement, and depth measurements, so a player can customise their experience, Engadget reports.
When tested on 11 people with vision problems, the toolkit showed positive results and helped those complete tasks more quickly than the default mode. The toolkit is currently available only for Unity VR developers but it is likely to be widely adopted.
