Gaming smartphone Asus ROG Phone 3 now available on Flipkart in 12/256 GB version
The high-performance gaming smartphone from ASUS got more power packed with Snapdragon 865 Plus and a whopping 144 Hz refresh rate.
ASUS’s ROG Phone 3, which the company calls the most powerful ROG Phone ever is now available on Flipkart.
The 12GB RAM, 256GB storage version went on sale today on the ecommerce platform for Rs 57,999. The 8GB RAM, 128GB model which went on sale on August 6 has sold out!
The ROG Phone 3, which uses the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G Mobile Platform, enables multi-gigabit 5G connectivity, Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming, intuitive AI experiences, and desktop-level gaming with ultra-realistic graphics, ASUS said in a statement.
Not to worry about constant gaming heating up the device, the ROG Phone 3 features the GameCool 3 cooling system engineered to deliver nonstop, ultra-smooth performance, the company said.
A 144 Hz, AMOLED 6.59-inch display promises vivid and accurate imagery, and a 25-millisecond touch latency provides a near-instant touch response, says ASUS.
The 10-bit display supports HDR10+ high-dynamic range content, which the company says won’t hurt your eyes because of a hardware solution that uses low blue light and flicker reducing certifications from TÜV Rheinland.
The ROG Phone 3 retains the core gamer-centric features of its predecessors, including the side-mounted charging port, but now with a transparent portion in the back cover displaying the heat sink.
Equipped with a monster 6,000 mAh battery, the ROG Phone 3 has stamina that can be relied on for even the longest battles. And here’s what gamers would really appreciate, the ROG Phone 3’s intuitive AirTrigger 3 system now includes a motion sensor in addition to the programmable ultrasonic touch sensors, giving users even more ways to control the action.
An upgraded Dirac-tuned audio system and a dedicated game mode makes in-game sound effects immersive. In landscape mode, dual front-facing speakers at the top and bottom of the phone deliver rich, detailed audio, the company said.
Not to be outdone in the camera department just because it is a gaming specific phone, the ROG Phone 3 comes equipped with a 64MP main Sony camera sensor with 16MP quad-bayer performance, an ultra-wide 13MP camera and a 5MP macro camera. In the video department, it offers 4K HDR recording up to 60fps, and a pro video mode that lets one record up to 8K, and the option to choose to use either the front mic or the back mic when recording.
A gamer can’t wait endlessly for their phone to get charged, and of course the ROG Phone 3 comes with a 30 watt charger, and a USB-C to USB-C data cable. No wireless charging at the moment though. But ASUS keeps life uncomplicated by sticking with the 3.5 mm headphone jack.
