Microsoft's Surface Pro faces bugs
Microsoft’s Surface Pro has fallen to bugs. The latest Surface Pro appears to be suffering from an issue which causes devices to enter hibernation mode all of a sudden, especially in idle mode.
The Surface Pro was launched last month by Microsoft as a rival to Apple’s iPad Pro. The Surface Pro’s shipping began a week back to customers.
It is however, most likely that some users are hitting issues which can be fixed with a firmware update. Microsoft has not yet acknowledged the problem. This is in despite the growing number of complaints on Reddit and on the company’s Community Forums.
As of now, there has been no official workaround for the problem. One user who was facing problems with the Surface Pro claimed to have gotten in touch with the software giant’s support engineers, who suggested a complete reset which completely addresses the bug.
“I called Microsoft and they suggested that I do a complete factory rest. I was kind of disappointed that they didn’t have another fix to fix the problem. I did a factor reset to see if that fixed the problem. I did this 2 days ago and haven’t had the problem since. I didn’t have to touch the hibernation part at all. My computer hibernates only when I’m not touching my computer. I even watched a movie to see if it went into hibernation while watching the movie and it didn’t. So far so good!” one user states.
This problems are not unexpected. Especially in cases of new-generation devices featuring upgraded hardware. In all cases though, it is paramount that parent companies address the issues as quickly as possible to the customers with the best possible experience.
Even though there has been no official workaround, it is certain that Microsoft is aware of the bug and a fix could be delivered in the coming weeks.
