Snapchat introduces GIF stickers
Looks like Snapchat is caught in a series of unfortunate events this week. It started off with the company officially responding to the popular Change.org petition signed by 1.2 million people asking the company to call back its recent change in design. Snapchat acknowledged how the new additions have been uncomfortable for many. However, instead of promising to go back to the older design, the company has simply stated that users will adapt to the new Snapchat over time. Adding to this, the company woke up to a rude shock on Thursday after socialite Kylie Jenner tweeted that she hardly uses the platform anymore. It is alleged that with this single tweet, the company saw its stocks plummet.
Despite these events, Snapchat launched a new feature that allows users to add Giphy animated stickers to their snaps. Users will have to tap the Sticker icon and search for the image they wish to add. Users can also pin a sticker to a particular thing in the snap by holding it at that spot. By holding it, this sticker will move or rotate, it can also be scaled.
Snapchat is also planning on introducing Tabs, which will roll out on the Friends and Discover pages. The Tab will allow users to organise stories and sort through friends with active stories and discover subscription.
