Evan Blass leaks Galaxy S9, S9+ official images
It is hardly a few hours since Samsung announced the day when the world will get to see the ninth generation of the Galaxy S flagship series and official images of the S9 are already doing rounds of the Internet. Popular tipster Evan Blass has leaked official shots of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+, thus eradicating any scope of imagination for users. The new S series flagships appear to carry forward the S8’s design and aesthetics but embrace new internals.
The S9 and the S9+ retain the S8 and S8’s familiar aesthetics, with an Infinity Display that curves to the edges on either side. The bezels all around may remind you of Samsung’s cheaper Galaxy A8+ (2018) or even the Google Pixel 2 XL, but the photos don’t highlight the curved edges.
A closer view of the curved edges was posted by Evan Blass later in another tweet, which shows that fans can expect an equally attractive, if not slightly better, design of the S8 on the S9. Samsung even seems to be retaining the Samsung Experience 8.5-like UI on the S9, albeit with new wallpapers.
In another tweet, Evan Blass showed off the rear camera module for both the S9 and S9+, confirming the previous rumours — the smaller Galaxy S9 will have a single lens camera with the fingerprint sensor placed below the camera module, like the Galaxy A8+ (2018), whereas the Galaxy S9+ will sport dual rear cameras with the fingerprint sensor placed below the camera module.
The Galaxy S9 and the S9+ will be unveiled on 25th February at the MWC 2018 event and fans can expect the latest Galaxy S flagship offering to be powered by their latest Exynos 9000 series chipset, up to 6GB of RAM, 512GB of onboard storage and a slightly bigger battery than the previous generation Galaxy S8. Stay tuned for all the updates on the Galaxy S9 and S9+ handsets.
