Apple facing issues with the iPhone 8, suggests reports
There have been so many reports of the iPhone 8 since the last few months. Projected to launch this fall, several sourced articles have stated that the device will most likely experience a major delay due to supply issues.
However, a recent report has stated that Apple’s production partners have started test manufacturing of the iPhone 8 and that the device will arrive as projected. But now there is a Japanese site Macotakara who have claimed that the device is very likely hit shelves in late 2018.
The report has also claimed that initial sales will be very limited, which means Apple is experiencing supply issues and only a few units are slated to hit the market. More iPhone 8 units should become available in early 2018, analysts have previously hinted, as Apple is working with its suppliers on addressing all production struggles.
The website also reveals that the device will not be available in white version even when Apple was considering it.
After several tests and prototypes, Apple decided that building an iPhone 8 in white is not possible, which weird is considering the fact that Apple already has a white Apple Watch. The difference in terms of materials could be problem as the white Watch is made out of ceramic while the iPhone 8 is made out of glass.
The colors which will be available will be few, the report says. Also, there is no confirmation that a mirror-like version similar to Sony Xperia XZ Premium would be rolled out.
The iPhone 8 will however, arrive with face recognition. And according to the source, the Touch ID will not be integrated into the power button, as some reports have stated. There will be a new unlocking system for the iPhone which could be related to the Raise to Wake feature.
Similar to every other report on the iPhone, it is important to take this with a pinch of salt until Apple officially launches the 8.
