LG has launched a new IPS liquid crystal panel that features an improved colour reproduction. The displays will use Nano IPS technology and will enable professional-grade DCI-P3 colour space coverage on consumer models.

The '32UK950' will be LG’s new flagship consumer 4K 32-inch LCD monitor (3840 × 2160) to feature the VESA HDR 600 badge along with an integrated Thunderbolt 3 dock and can reproduce 1.07 billion colours and cover 98 per cent of the DCI-P3 colour space. The HDR 600 badge clearly points to HDR10 processing capabilities along with up to 600 nits brightness.

LG’s current-generation consumer flagship display — the 32UD99-W can cover 95 per cent of the DCI-P3 gamut. It is believed that the upcoming 32UK950 will surpass current models when it comes to gamut coverage.

The 32UK950 integrates Thunderbolt 3 connectivity and chaining support that can connect two 4Kp60 displays using a single TB3 port on the host. It is also expected to feature regular DisplayPort and HDMI inputs and a USB 3.0 hub.
