Microsoft Edge for iPhone now has a Dark Mode

The company also rolled out an update to solve some major issues such as battery drain the app was causing.

Microsoft has been constantly rolling out updates for its iOS offensive app — MS Edge. The company has now pushed a bunch of tweaks, including the dark mode. The latest theme can be enabled from the setting tab.

The company also rolled out an update to solve some major issues such as battery drain the app was causing. Also, the app tended to make the device run hot, a trait the update claims to remove.

“Some of you told us that your phone heats up or otherwise consumes more battery when you use Edge. We looked under the hood and found a few optimizations. Let us know if you continue to experience high battery consumption,” Microsoft says in the official release notes of the application.

The new tweaks also bring improved functionality to the left and right swiping to go back and forth between pages. Lastly, there’s support for actions and activities extensions, such as sharing sites, adding links to Pocket and others and saving links to Notes.

Currently, the Microsoft Edge is available as a beta version for iPhone and is not available on the App Store. There’s now word as to when the Edge browser will make to the App Store, but for the time being, it seems Microsoft is committed to bring new features and bug fixes to the app as early as possible.
