ASUS is gearing up to launch their next ZenFone in India, next week. The new smartphone, named ZenFone 3S Max, will sport a massive 5000mAh battery, and will be a boon for those seeking longer runtime for their smartphones. The device is yet to be priced, and knowing ASUS, they will aggressively compete the new entrant in the Indian market.

The ZenFone 3S Max is basically the Pegasus 3s, which was launched earlier in china this year. The device will sport an all-aluminium metal body with a fingerprint sensor below the physical home button upfront. The camera and a dual-tone LED flash are located towards the left top-corner on the rear. However, ASUS seems to have eliminated the laser auto-focus and the signature design, the ZenFone concentric circles, on this model.

The USP of the ZenFone 3S Max is the massive 5000mAh battery, which is slated to give the user a maximum of 34 days on standby (4G) and up to 28 hours of talk or 25 hours of Wi-Fi browsing. Additionally, one can also use the 3S for charging other smartphones and gadgets by reverse charging using an OTG cable in powerbank mode.

The 3S Max will be powered by a 64-bit 1.7GHz MediaTek chipset with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, expandable up to 2TB using a micro SD card. The device sports 13MP PixelMaster rear and 8MP font cameras. The display is a 5.2-incher HD (720P) LCD display with a 2.5D protection glass. The rear camera is also capable of capturing photos with a super resolution of 52MP. Other features include dual-CIM 4G hybrid slots, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi ac, Android Nougat 7.0 operating system and built-in blue-light filter. The ASUS ZenFone 3S Max will be available in two colour variants — Black and Sand Gold. Prices will be announced at an event held next week. We expect the price of the ZenFone 3S Max to be under Rs 10,000.
