New Prime Video inteface for mobile under works
Over the past year, Amazon has racked up a decent amount of membership for its premium Prime Video service. Amazon keeps on updating the content library frequently and even goes on to deliver original content for all kinds of viewers around the world. While Prime Video is easily accessible on mobile platforms via the app, the interface of the app is kind of outdated, with ungainly icons and an endless scrolling list of movie recommendations. It seems that Amazon is looking to fix it soon.
According to a report by The Verge, Amazon Studio head Jen Salke hinted towards the rollout of a brand new interface for the app. The new interface is currently in the prototype stage and is even being tested by Salke herself in his office presently. She mentioned that she doesn’t feel the need to put a deadline on the project. The project was shown to her on a prototype device bearing the new interface.
While the report doesn’t show us any glimpse of the interface, Salke said that new interface is more intuitive to use than the current one. This indicates that Amazon is trying to make efficient use of the smaller confines of the mobile screen by fitting more content cleverly. Since Salke mentioned that the new interface is presently at a stage between developed and coming soon, it could be while before the revamped interface reaches us.
