Apple’s most expensive smartphone till date — iPhone X is set to hit the markets on November 3 and if you are planning to get an iPhone X, make sure you don’t have buttery fingers as the higher price tag is not just reserved for the phone but for that ‘revolutionary’ fullscreen display.

Apple has lately unveiled how much it will cost you to repair the phone if the screen is damaged. A broken screen will cost you around $275 (approximately Rs 41,600), which is twice the price of an iPhone 6’s screen replacement fee. Other damages on the iPhone X can be fixed by spending around $549 (approximately Rs 35,622), if not protected by AppleCare +. However, the company will charge an additional $6.95 as shipping fee if you want your iPhone X to be delivered to your doorstep.

The company has revealed all the details on its website that shows the cost of repair for different iPhones. iPhone users should note that the ‘fee’ will be applicable only when you need to replace your screen due to accidental damage or mishandling as accidental damage is not covered under Apple warranty.

Since AppleCare+ coverage provides an accidental warranty, you won’t need to pay even if your iPhone is damaged accidentally. But, if you don’t have the AppleCare+ accidental coverage you will have to pay the listed amount to repair the list. So if you are planning to buy the ‘all-new’ iPhone X, make sure to get insurance at the time of buying the smartphone.
