Coolpad, Le Eco join hands with new device on plate
The recently launched Cool 1 Dual is the product of collaboration between two Chinese manufacturers, Coolpad and Le Eco. The device has optimized two most sought-after features - camera and battery.
The device sports a dual camera at the rear with 13 megapixels resolution. One camera captures colour; whereas the other captures monochrome images and the end result is vivid and detailed pictures with good focus. Both the cameras come with f/2.2 aperture, auto-focus, dual-tone LED flash. The image quality outdoors was pretty impressive. We also tried taking few pictures indoors, under low light conditions and were satisfied with the clarity. The cameras also come with different modes like Pro, SLR, HDR, Panorama, night, beauty, etc. The 8-megapixel front camera was also able to get us some decent selfies. The device also allows video recording in 4K.
While huge battery life has become a common feature in smart phones these days, not every device supports fast charging. The Cool 1 Dual has this feature – with a 4000mAh battery. It also comes with a Type C USB port. The device should work an entire day, on a full charge.
The 5.5-inch display comes with an IPS screen and 1920 x 1080 pixels full HD resolution. With 8.2mm thickness and 173 grams weight, the device is easy to hold and use with one hand. It has fingerprint sensor at the rear, which also lets you capture images with a single tap on it.
Powered by Android 6.0, the phone runs on 1.8GHz Octa- core processor and Adreno 510 GPU. It comes in two RAM variants of 3GB and 4GB with internal storage of 32GB. There’s no option for storage expansion, which is a downside. The dual-SIM device supports 4G VoLTE.
The Coolpad Cool 1 Dual is a good buy at Rs 13,999 and is one of the few devices that offers dual camera in this price range. It will be available on Amazon from January 5.
