Nokia 9 five-camera smartphone to come with in-screen fingerprint sensor: Report

The under-display fingerprint reader would theoretically help the makers slim down on the bezels for a wider screen at 6-inch.

HMD Global's next-in-line Nokia 9 smartphone is likely to not only boast a five-camera setup but also feature the new-age in-screen fingerprint sensor.

Known leaker Evan Blass has posted stills and videos of the upcoming Nokia 9, likely to be called as Nokia 9 PureView. The smartphone is said to be an Android One device and come with a whopping five cameras at the back, Engadget reported.

The under-display fingerprint reader would theoretically help the makers slim down on the bezels for a wider screen at 6-inch. Under the hood, it is likely to pack a Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and the display is likely to be of 2K resolution with both HDR10 and tall aspect ratio.

HMD is likely to showcase the device at the Mobile World Congress or CES 2019.
