Oppo R15 smartphone teaser shows an iPhone X notch

Despite Apple being mocked for its notch design in the iPhone X, many companies like Asus, Huawei (new leak suggests that) have been implementing the similar displays for their current flagships this year. Following the trend, Oppo has officially launched its R15 and R15 Plus’ teaser image on China’s social networking website Weibo. And apparently, these feature an iPhone X like ‘notch’ along with the bezel-less display. This might be the preview of One Plus 6 as well since Oppo’s design language is often shared by OnePlus.

The teaser photo suggests that the company is planning to release two variants of its smartphones – Oppo R15 and the larger Oppo R15 Plus variant. Both the photos look identical in design except for the display sizes. As we reported earlier, previous leaks from the Oppo and OnePlus also suggest the bezel-less displays with the identical ‘notch’ and finger print reader on the back. OnePlus has a history of sharing the design aesthetics from its cousin Oppo (R11 and R11S) as both are owned by the same parent company.

As far as the Oppo R15 teaser concerned, there are other rumoured features that include a gesture-based virtual home button, vertical mounted dual cameras, and Color OS 4.0 with Android 8.1 Oreo along with Snapdragon 670 chipset.
