Many Apple analyst claim that the supply was affected due to difficulties in assembling the new facial identification software and 3D camera.

The iPhone X, which marks the 10th anniversary of devices, cost around Rs 89,000 for a 64GB model and Rs 1.02 lakh for the 256 GB variant.

After Apple’s iPhone 8 kicked off with less fanfare and with dreary response all over the world, Apple has now gambled on its ‘super premium’ iPhone X, which is set to go on sale on November 3 .

The initial demand for iPhone X has been the subject of much speculation and the release of the iPhone 8 had been met with less than spectacular demand. However, there have been reports that Apple might be facing major production problems with the iPhone X. Many Apple analyst claims that the supply was affected because of two reasons — difficulty in assembling the new facial identification software and 3D camera and ‘off the charts’ pre-orders for iPhone X after the Apple fraternity didn’t cover up the expectation for iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.

After Apple’s latest announcement, people were salivating over the much-hyped iPhone X that was touted as the future of smartphones. With pre-orders going ‘off-charts’ the scenario suggests that Apple die-hards will have to wait long before they can get their hands on an iPhone X. Analysts have warned that “the stock on hand is inadequate, owing to constrained supply of key iPhone X components.” The advance depth-sensing system of iPhone X requires parts that only a few manufacturers can produce.

To recall, the iPhone 8 received an underwhelming response across the globe. While the number of people queuing up outside Apple stores dropped over the past several years with many buyers choosing to shop online, the weak turnout for the iPhone 8 has partly been due to poor reviews. The iPhone 8 will only cater to those who want a new version but do not want to pay a hefty $999 for the iPhone X.

The iPhone X, however, received a totally opposite repose compared to the former. The super flagship brings a lot of new and innovative features to the table including the much talked about FaceID. The smartphone operates on Apple’s latest processor, A11 Bionic with an integrated Neural Engine for face recognition. The processor is an upgrade from last year’s A10 as it comes with not four but six-cores. In Apple testing, A11 was seen performing 70 percent faster than A10, also extending battery life by additional two hours as what has been witnessed on iPhone 7. The iPhone X, which marks the 10th anniversary of devices, cost around Rs 89,000 for a 64GB model and Rs 1.02 lakh for the 256 GB variant.
