Oppo launches F5 with facial recognition in India
OPPO has launched its selfie-centric F5 smartphone for the Indian market. The price of the device starts from Rs 19,990 and will go on sale starting November 9. The 6GB RAM variant will cost you Rs 24,990.
Talking about the specifications, the device features a narrow-bezel 6-inch LCD display with full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2160 pixels). It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6763T processor clubbed with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB storage. The device runs on ColorOS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat and supports dual Nano-SIM functionality.
In terms of connectivity, the Oppo F5 comes with GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 and USB OTG support. The smartphone is fuelled by a 3200mAh battery.
The handset sports a 16MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 20MP sensor at the front with f/2.0 aperture. Both the cameras are accompanied by individual LED flash. The company claims that the front camera is integrated with AI-based technology as well as a facial feature optimisation technology to help create the perfect selfie.
