ASUS breaks OnePlus deal with SD845 ZenFone 5Z

The ZenFone 5Z starts at Rs 29,999 for the base 6GB/64GB variant.

ASUS launches its flagship offering ZenFone 5Z in India. The smartphone features a 6.2-inch superIPS FHD+ display, dual-cameras with artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and features audio performance with stereo sound. It flaunts slim-bezel, all-screen design, featuring a 6.2-inch display with 90 per cent screen-to-body ratio in an all-metal, glass-covered body.

Equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform, ZenFone 5Z includes a full suite of AI-enhanced features powered by the Qualcomm Artificial Intelligence Engine (AIE). Also, it has an intelligent dual-camera system that adapts and learns for delivering user-preferred snaps. Moreover, the Asus flagship incorporates Sony IMX363 sensor, 120° wide-angle secondary camera and AI-enhanced camera features including 16 automatic scene detection, real-time portrait effects, AI photo learning and real-time beautification.

Asus also notified of AI having made its way into helping extend the battery life-span by up to two times. This is said to detect charging behaviour over time and estimate when the user puts the device for longer charges without use. It then slows down the charging in order to lower battery stress encountered during fast-charging, and when the phone detects charging during usage times, it automatically switches to fast-charging.

Coming to the price of the Asus ZenFone 5Z, it starts at Rs 29,999 for the base 6GB/64GB variant. The higher spec variant with 6GB/128GB storage is priced at Rs 32,999 while the top-end trim (8GB/256GB) is priced at Rs 36,999.

Buyers can also avail several offers such as Rs 3000 cash back on ICICI credit & debit cards and no cost EMI. Additionally, you can register for 3 months, 6 months and 9 months no cost EMI on SBI & Bajaj FINSERV from 9th to 15th July. Jio users can enjoy extra offers on recharging with Rs 199 and Rs 299 plans which include Rs 2200 cash back and 100GB additional 4G data.
