OxygenOS 5.0.1 update rolls out to OnePlus 5 with a bug-fix

This update rolls out after the users reporting network related issues in some regions.

OnePlus released the OxygenOS 5.0 based on Android Oreo to the OnePlus 5 last month. After the much awaited update rolling out to the devices, users began to face network connectivity issues and performance issues related to camera.

After these complaints raised by the users, the company suspended the roll-out last week and promised to release a software patch. Keeping their stand, OnePlus has begun delivering new OxygenOS 5.0.1 update with the bug-fix for third-party camera app. OnePlus has also resolved network related issues reported by consumers with this update. The company also stated to bring 'Face Unlock' feature like we see in the OnePlus 5T to the OnePlus 5 in coming weeks, as they already started testing this feature in the beta update.

The OTA (over-the-air) update roll-out process is being carried out in stages, users can check for updates manually by going to Settings > About Phone > System Updates > Check for the new firmware.
