Android Nougat update coming to Moto X Play

Lenovo-backed Motorola made an official announcement recently, suggesting that its Moto X Play smartphone — which currently runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 — is set to receive the latest Android Nougat update soon. While, the specific date has not been established, the company will be rolling out the update along with other software upgrades as well.
To recall, Motorola in November last year released a list of smartphones that will be receiving the Nougat update. While as many as 15 Moto smartphones received the update, the Moto X Play was left behind. The latest update will be bringing along with, several improved features like the ability to quick switch the apps, split-window view, direct reply from notification panel and customised quick settings.
