Apple iPhone X in a washing machine: Did it survive?
Apple’s latest iPhone X as most of us know is IP67 certified, which means the phone is resistant to dust and can be immersed in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. Although the new device doesn’t reach the IP68 level as the Samsung Galaxy S8, but tests have shown that the iPhones with same level of water resistance do just fine when thrown into the water.
The iPhone X is no exception. Youtube channel EverythingApplePro in a video shows how Apple’s new flagship stacks up when it goes through stringent tests. The smartphone was able to withstand staying in water for up to 30 minutes to a depth of 1 meter showing no signs of damage. With a more intensive test involving deeper water also doesn’t affect the smartphone.
The device also managed to survive being thrown into the washing machine, which not only involved physical shocks as well as possible water damage to the camera module and the display.
