Huawei to embrace the \"notch\" with its next flagship phone
We are nearing the end of 2017 and rumours of smartphones that will be featured in 2018 are already doing rounds. A new report suggests that Huawei’s next-generation flagship phone P11’s appearance will be quite different from the predecessor Huawei P10 phone.
It seems that Huawei next-generation phone might have the most controversial notch design feature. If the rumours are to be believed, the P11 might arrive with a bezel-less design as well as a notch that can be found on the iPhone X or Essential phone.
According to XDA-Developers, Huawei’s upcoming flagship offering could sport an iPhone X-inspired notch. The company says it obtained such information from firmware files and re-created an overlay image that is referenced in a configuration file dubbed as ‘Round Corner Display.’

The XDA-Developers believes that the smartphone might feature a 6.1-inch Samsung EA8074 CMD TFT LCD display panel with a resolution of 2160x1080 pixels. However, some other files show that it will support 2244x1080 pixels resolution. The publication believes that the upcoming P11 could be having such a resolution because of the presence of a notch.
Earlier reports suggested that the P11 might feature a 40MP Pro triple-lens cameras, equipped with 5x hybrid zoom and will feature a 24MP front shooter.
