HTC brought its U Play flagship smartphone to India back in February this year at a price of Rs 39,990.

HTC brought its U Play flagship smartphone to India back in February this year at a price of Rs 39,990. The company has now apparently slashed the price of the smartphone by Rs 10,000 and the device is currently available for Rs 29,999. Interested buyers can purchase the device on Amazon’s official website. Moreover, Amazon is also offering up to Rs 2,300 Amazon Pay cash-back option for purchasing under credit card EMI and one year insurance coverage for accidental and liquid damages by Cover Plus for free.

On the specifications front, the HTC U Play device packs a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) Super LCD display with Gorilla Glass, an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 SoC and 4GB RAM/64GB ROM. The device sports a 16MP rear camera with a BSI sensor, optical image stabilisation, PDAF, an f/2.0 aperture and dual-tone LED flash alongside 16MP front snapper with an UltraPixel mode, a BSI sensor, an f/2.0 aperture with 28mm focal length.

The smartphone packs a 2,500mAh battery with fast-charging support and bears a fingerprint sensor on the Home Button.

The device is available in Sapphire Blue and Brilliant Black colour options. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers 4G LTE with VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, DLNA, Miracast, HTC Connect, and USB 2.0 Type-C.
