Vivo launches X9s, X9s Plus with dual selfie cameras
Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has unveiled two new smartphones in China this week: the X9s and the X9s Plus. Both smartphones are the enhanced versions of the previously launched X9 smartphones. The new models incorporate bigger batteries, wider bodies and run on Android 7.0 Nougat.
The new smartphones also feature a dual selfie camera setup like their predecessors. The X9s costs 2,998 yuan, or about $440, it sports a 5.8-inch full HD AMOLED display. It uses 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage capacity. It comes equipped with a 16MP rear camera and 20MP and 5MP camera sensors on the front panel for selfies. It also houses a fingerprint sensor on the front panel. The dual selfie camera is also capable creating a background blur or bokeh effect.
Other tech giants such as LG, Oppo and Alcatel are also using the dual selfie cameras on their devices, but they typically use them to capture wide angle shots.
