iPhone 8 pre-orders may begin in September

New report has suggested that the iPhone 8 will be available until October or November.

Apple is usually known to unveil their flagship smartphone iPhone in the month of September every year. While the firm is still expected to unveil the latest handset – iPhone 8 or iPhone Edition – at an event in September, the devices will only be available for pre-order initially. The deliver is expected to take place ‘several weeks’ later due to the technology in the handset that might take more time to prepare.

An excerpt from White's research note with investment banking firm Drexel Hamilton, obtained by Macrumours, claims “Our contact strongly believes the 5.8-inch iPhone 8 will be delayed by several weeks due to challenges around the 3D sensing technology, but still in time for the December holidays.”

“This is not the first time that we've heard about a potential delay with a new iPhone; however, our contact was so emphatic about the delay that we are taking this data point more seriously.”

According to analyst Brian White, customers will be able to pre-order the 5.8-inch iPhone 8 along with the expected 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone devices in September but the 5.8-inch iPhone 8 will be available for deliver a few weeks later due to ‘technical issues’ with regards to the lamination process of the curved OLED panels and the adoption of the 3D sensing front-camera technology.
