Samsung Galaxy S8 may receive Nougat 7.1
It appears like Samsung has already started testing the new Android 7.1 for its smartphones.
Samsung rolled out its Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones powered by Android Nougat 7.0 recently. It’s hardly been a month and the South-Korean tech giant is already rumoured to be working on Nougat 7.1 for its smartphones.
According to Softpedia, the latest update to Samsung’s S Health and Game Tuner applications reveal support for Android 7.1 Nougat.
“This is the first time that the target API for Android 7.1 appears in the changelog of a Samsung proprietary app, meaning that the company might be preparing to roll out the update to its current flagship devices, the Galaxy S8 and S8+,” the report read.
It still remains unclear exactly when the latest update will hit the phones. The testing period is expected to last for a while.
