For people using the iPhone with old iOS 11 is like living in Apple’s walled garden. But those who prefer the iOS platform, but despise the platform's limitations, here is a good news for them.
According to the technology new website RedmondPie, KeenLab has successfully cracked the iPhone X. Liang Chen of KeenLab has demonstrated a functional jailbreak for Apple’s latest flagship — iPhone X. The jailbreak was demoed at POC 2017 event in Seoul, South Korea, on an iPhone X that was running the recently released iOS 11.1.1 patch. Liang Chen earlier projects include a jailbreak for iOS 11 beta 2 and iOS 10.3.2 that never launched publicly.
As of now, it is not clear that whether the jailbreak will be available to the public, but because the hack was running on the latest version of iOS, the jailbreak will be available soon to the public. However, iPhone X jailbroken actually means that the Apple’s latest phone does have vulnerabilities that can be exploited to offer users a jailbreak.
The main concern about an iOS jailbreak is that the security could be compromised for people who don’t know what they are doing. However, tech-savvy users who jailbreak their phones discover a completely new world and claim that as long as you stay away from shady sources, there’s no need to worry about having your device compromised.
