iPhone X users reporting 'crackling' sounds from earpiece speaker

Users claims that they are facing a crackling or buzzing sound emanating from the device's front-facing earpiece speaker at maximum volume.

Ever since the Apple’s most expensive iPhone X hit the market, few issues have been popping up gradually, affecting people at large. Many iPhone X users took to social media platforms to report these issues.

Following last week’s report where some users were facing unresponsive touch in cold weather, a new report by MacRumors, claims that some users are facing a crackling or buzzing sound emanating from the device's front-facing earpiece speaker at maximum volume. The iPhone X is reportedly producing crackling sounds with all sorts of audio playback including phone calls, alarms and ringtones.

"Love the phone but I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with the speakers slightly sounding a little crackling whenever max volume. Noticeable on certain songs and even my ringtone which was bought from the iTunes Store," a user wrote on the MacRumors forum.

Apple’s iPhone X comes with a front-facing double speaker which combines with the traditional speakers at the bottom of the device to produce stereo sound. So it is not yet clear whether the crackling and buzzing is a hardware fault or a software issue.

Another peculiar problem with some iPhone X units is with the green line showing up on the OLED display as users started reporting along with images on social media platform.

At the moment, it’s unclear what causes the issue. We'll know more in the coming days as Apple tries to issue a fix for affected users. As Apple is known for providing solutions quickly to its customers, we hope the company would address this issue soon.

Besides, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the company is planning to increase production of the iPhone X by 35 percent to 45 percent in the current quarter from the previous three month period.
