OnePlus 5 spotted online
There are a lot of rumours and speculations surrounding the next flagship smartphone by OnePlus. The company – after launching the OnePlus 3T – is expected to skip the number 4 moniker and name its next flagship OnePlus 5. While we are still not sure of how far this is true, according to a recent online report – the OnePlus 5 was spotted on China’s Radio Regulation Authority site.
According to AndroidPure, the OnePlus 5 smartphone was spotted on China’s Radio Regulation Authority site as carrying the A5000 model name. Since the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphone carried model numbers A3000 and A3010, it is safe to assume that the OnePlus 5 smartphone is in fact, carrying the A5000 model number.
Several reports suggests that the company plans on debuting the smartphone in the second half of 2017.
Previously, the OnePlus 5 smartphone was reported to be powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC along with 8GB of RAM. The device is expected to feature a 5.5-inch 2K display (1080 x 2048 pixels) and come with internal storage option of up to 256GB.
On the camera front, the device is expected to flaunt a 32MP rear camera with OIS, zoom and flash along with a 6MP front camera.
Separately, the OnePlus 5 smartphone is also expected to flaunt a dual-edged screen, hardware navigation keys and slimmer bezels.
