Off lately, the iPhone SE 2 has been doing rounds of the Internet’s rumours section, giving out hints about its specifications and design. Some tipsters had even gone to the brink of leaking 3D CAD renders of the anticipated baby iPhone wearing an iPhone X-like front fascia with a notch and narrow bezels. However, the recent development in this regard may disappoint those who have been holding on to their purchase for the next-generation affordable iPhone — it might be delayed up to September.

Macotakara from Japan has taken to the Internet to announce that Apple isn’t done designing the iPhone SE 2 yet and therefore might delay the launch of the handset by a couple of months. The report states that the Cupertino giant is still developing the iPhone SE 2 and will manage to get it ready by the September 2018, a period when Apple usually unveils the new iPhone model lineup every year. Therefore, we could end up seeing the iPhone SE 2 unveiled alongside the iPhone X 2018, iPhone X Plus 2018 and the new 6.1-inch LCD iPhone model.

It is said that Apple is currently testing two devices that could carry the torch forward from the original iPhone SE. The first model is predicted to be the one we have been expecting — an all-screen display with FaceID resting in a notch on top of the display. The second is rumoured to sport a 6-inch display, which falls in line with the midrange iPhone rumoured with an LCD iPhone. Industry insiders have suggested that Apple’s new 2018 lineup of iPhones will completely give up on TouchID and will fully embrace the new FaceID system with narrow bezels all around.

These are still rumours, which is why we suggest you don’t up on your hopes yet. Apple’s WWDC 2018 is on the horizon and we could see several new expensive iPads and a glimpse of iOS 12 amongst the possibility of the iPhone SE’s successor. Stay tuned for all the information related to the iPhone SE 2.
