Honor 8X with GPU Turbo technology launched in India

Honor 8X has been launched in India. The company is touting its GPU Turbo Technology, that is said to boost the performance of the smartphone by up to 60 per cent while also reducing battery consumption by up to 30 per cent. The device also comes baked with Artificial Intelligence for better photography experience. The handset offers Dolby Atmos surround sound powered by stereo speakers.

The Honor 8X sports a glass-finish rear with a double textured design and 15 layers of aurora glass. The smartphone has a 91 per cent of screen-to-body ratio, as per the company. The handset features a 6.5-inch full HD+ panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It runs on Android Oreo and is built around an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC, accompanied by ARM Mali-G6 GPU, and up to 6GB of RAM/128GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 400GB. It is backed by a 3750mAh battery with support for 5V/2A (10W) charging and a power saving battery features.

On the connectivity front, the handset includes 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2 LE with aptX support, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, a micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for additional security.

The Honor 8X costs Rs 14,999 for the 4GB variant, Rs 16,999 for 6GB/64GB variant, and Rs 18,999 for the 6GB/128GB configuration. The smartphone will be exclusively available for purchase via Amazon from October 24 onwards. It comes in Black, Red, and Blue colour options.
