Samsung is launching a limited edition Galaxy Note 8 Winter Olympics Edition, similar to the earlier iterations of the limited edition phones. Galaxy Note 8 comes in a White, Black and a Gold colour variant with respective Olympic themes. The South Korean manufacturer is launching this phone as a part of the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018, which its home country is hosting this year.

As Samsung Electronics is Worldwide Olympic Partner in the Wireless Communications Equipment and Computing Equipment category, they unveiled this limited edition Galaxy Note8. The phone is equipped with the same specs as flagship Note 8 – a 6.3-inch Infinity Display, an S–Pen, dual cameras and so on. But the phone features a unique colour combination, comes with a White rear in Gold colour accent and Black on the front. It also has the Winter Olympics Edition logo embedded on the rear panel similar to the previous iteration. Samsung started their limited edition smartphones from Galaxy S6 (Iron-Man Edition), Galaxy S7 Edge (Batman Edition). Samsung also had another variant of the Olympics Edition – Rio Olympics 2016 Galaxy S7 Edge Limited Edition.

Samsung has promised to provide smartphones to all Paralympians at the Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018. Each Paralympian will receive the Galaxy Note8 along with cases that feature the Paralympic Games logo and be exposed to how mobile technologies can help make the digital world more accessible for those with disabilities.
