Galaxy S8 gets new 'full screen' button in navigation bar
Samsung’s Galaxy S8 is getting a lot of attention from the company since its launch. Samsung has released a lot of updates, including patches and additional feature updates to the Galaxy S8. In fact, Samsung is making sure that S8 owners are getting the best possible experience on the flagship smartphone. To confirm this intention, Samsung has rolled out another update to make life easier for the Galaxy S8 owners.
The Galaxy S8’s navigation bar gains a full-screen button beside the existing Home key, Recent key and Back key. The new button appears on the navigation bar for those apps that don’t comply to the Galaxy S8’s 18:5:9 screen ratio by default. With this button, all users will need to do is tap it to make any app utilise the Galaxy S8’s Infinity Display up to the full potential.
Until now, users were required to go the Recents menu and tap the full-screen button on the desired app window to make it utilise the Galaxy S8’s novel screen dimensions.
Apart from that, Samsung has also rolled out the June security patches to Galaxy S8+ units in Europe and India. The update also sets the colour of the navigation bar to the default colour of grey. Users can longer have a colourful navigation bar unless you apply a specific theme. It is also expected that the camera will receive an improvement for photographs taken via the panorama mode.
