Samsung Galaxy Note 8 launch date confirmed by CEO
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 8 smartphone will be unveiled towards the end of August, CEO DJ Koh reportedly confirmed. If this turns out to be true, then the device will be introduced right before the beginning of IFA, 2017 which is scheduled to take place at around the same time.
As reported by Phone Arena, Koh added that the “first wave” of Galaxy Note 8 units will be made available for sale to customers in September. The launch will only take place in South Korea, US and UK for the time being. The firm will later introduce the smartphones in other developing markets as well. Interestingly, Koh did not mention any particular date for the launch.
Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 launch holds a lot of importance for the firm as they hope to rectify the mistakes that took place with its predecessor, Galaxy Note 7. The company has put in place a series of new tests and safety measures focused entirely on the battery of the smartphone. This is done to ensure that the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco does not take place again.
