Apple to delay launch of cheaper iPhone, premium models to come first
iPhone lovers are trying to control their excitement for the upcoming trio of devices as the launch is still over a month away. Expected to come by September, the three iPhones will consist of two premium models, perhaps the iPhone X and iPhone Plus and, a more affordable smartphone details of which are still scarce.
For people who are planning to buy the budget version, you may have to wait a bit more as the company has been reported to launch the expensive models first followed by the budget model later.
Baystreet Research, which is an analyst company, have been alleging that all the three models are not coming together. The reason for this has been assumed to be the need of 'marketing window' between both the category of phones.
Launching all the three phones together might affect the marketing, and thereby sales of its first premium phones. Supposedly, the buyers will prefer the affordable over the expensive ones.
Launching both the type of phones with a slight gap will give each a sort of breather to publicise the way Apple expects from them. However, whether the company implements this plan still remains uncertain.
The premium models of the iPhones will be boasting of OLED displays while the budget model will put on the LED panel which will help in keeping the price in check. The latter is expected to be priced around $699. How expensive will the upper models be is still unknown.
