Apple finally ships the first batch of iPhone X from China: report

The first wave of the iPhone X will have an estimated 46,500 devices produced in two Chinese facilities.

Apple is reported to have shipped the very first batch of its flagship iPhone X. According to a Chinese publication Xinhuanet, the smartphones have made their way through the manufacturing process and been shipped from a Foxconn factory.

After several reported delays, the shipments bring the flagship one step closer to reaching the hands of the consumers. The report was first picked by Digitimes and 9to5Mac, which claims the first shipment of iPhone X phones left Foxconn's facilities in Zhengzhou and Shanghai on Monday. The handsets were reportedly sent to UAE and Netherlands.

The first wave of the iPhone X will have an estimated 46,500 devices produced in two Chinese facilities, however the pre-orders are expected to reach a whopping 50 million once the period kicks of on October 27.

Foxconn has reportedly increased its manufacturing output to about 4,00,000 units every week, but at that rate, Apple will still be unable to fulfil the demands for the iPhone X.

Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo believes that Apple will only be able to ship 30 to 35 million iPhone X by the end of the year. This could also mean that consumers might have to wait till 2018 to get their hands on the iPhone X.

There were reports about the iPhone X facing production delays even before its official launch. The company struggled to incorporate some of the new technologies such as the FaceID, and other constraints kept the device away from manufacturing until this month.

Apple is yet to confirm the report, but there is a chance that the company will be able to produce more handsets to meet the demands. The iPhone X is all but guaranteed to big a game changer from the moment it was announced.
