Xiaomi Mi 6 leaks official colour options, available for pre-order

The Mi 6 will come in black and white for now. The specifications show a powerhouse flagship waiting to be released.

The much-awaited launch of the Xiaomi Mi 6 has nurtured many leaks and speculations since its launch announcement by Xiaomi a week back. Now, one online retailer has put up the smartphone for pre-order, leaking the colour options as well as the specifications.

Global retailer GIZTOP has started taking pre-orders for the Xiaomi Mi 6 on its website. In the product specification section, the smartphone’s internals match quite well with our predictions. The smartphone will be featuring the following specifications –

2.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor

4GB/6GB LPDDR4 RAM

64GB/128GB UFS 2.0 storage

5.5-inch screen, full HD display (1920x1080 pixels)

3500mAh battery, quick charge supported

MIUI 8 base on Android OS (possibly Android 7.0)

Apart from the internals of the phone, the retailer has also listed the official colour options that will be available after the launch. You can order your Xiaomi Mi 6 in black and white colour variants.

The retailer has also listed that the phones will start shipping from the first week of May 2017. However, no photograph of the smartphone has been posted on the seller’s page.

The website has also listed the price of the Mi 6 as well – $399 or Rs 25,753, which is somewhat equivalent to the price of last year's Mi 5 standard edition.

Weirdly, the site lists that the fingerprint sensor will be located under the rear camera, a speculation that is completely different from the leaks that we have seen so far. Also, there is no mention of a dual-camera sensor, pointing to the fact that the single camera sensor may feature an arrangement equivalent to the Samsung Galaxy S8’s camera setup.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 will be unveiled tomorrow at Beijing and all eyes are on the Chinese giant’s next flagship statement for 2017. Will it be a different style statement like the last year’s Mi 5 or will it join the Chinese bandwagon of “iPhone” copycats? Stay tuned for the latest updates on the Xiaomi Mi 6.
