OnePlus 5 teased in TV ad during IND vs PAK final match
When a large number of Indian eyes were glued on television watching India vs Pakistan ICC Champion Trophy final match yesterday, OnePlus chose the medium to tease the launch of the much-awaited OnePlus 5 smartphone in the country.

OnePlus is confirmed to launch the 2017 flagship OnePlus 5 on June 22 in India exclusively on Amazon. The smartphone is expected to feature a 5.5-inch FHD display in two RAM variant: 6GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB at a price of Rs 32,999 and Rs 37,999 respectively.
The information that OnePlus 5 will be available in 8GB RAM variant was spotted by well-known tipster Evan Blass in a source code of Amazon’s page. In a twitter post, Blass wrote, “OnePlus 5 powered by 2.35GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor and 8GB of RAM will release on 22 June 2017 as an exclusive at Amazon.in.”
So far, the dual-camera feature is known to be the highlight of OnePlus 5. OnePlus is reportedly known to have partnered with DxO Mark in order to work on the dual-lens camera for the flagship. In the teaser spotted during the final match, the phone was also featured with a tagline “Dual Camera. Clearer Photos.”
The phone revealed in the TV ad looks exactly similar to a supposed image once leaked online by the Android Police. In the image, the phone resembles Apple's iPhone 7 Plus. It was also teased that the phone will be smaller and more compact than the firm’s previous phone OnePlus 3T.
Apart for this, OnePlus 5 is also speculated to sport 3600mAh battery along with Dash Charge 2.0 and operate on Android Nougat.
According to reports, the device registration had crossed around 300,000 in two days in its home market before the global launch, which is salted to be on June 20.
