The new handset will come in Charcoal and Cyan Green and will be available starting 23rd September at top mobile retail outlets in India, on Nokia.com/phones and Flipkart. Its price shall be Rs 18,599 for the 4GB/64GB variant and Rs 19,599 for the 6GB/64GB variant.
Nokia 7.2 is the first in the Nokia smartphone portfolio to feature a triple camera set up, which combines a 48MP sensor with Quad Pixel technology main camera with ZEISS Optics, ultra-wide camera, and depth camera. The Quad Pixel technology combines four pixels into one to create stunning images in all conditions.
Its portrait mode also uses the ZEISS Modern, ZEISS Swirl and ZEISS Smooth modes. Along with a night mode it also has a feature to add beautification.
The ultrawide camera has a 118-degree field of view. Meanwhile on the front, it has a 20MP camera with ZEISS optics.
The phone’s screen has PureDisplay technology along with a Pixelworks visual processor. An HDR display, it provides up to 500 nits of brightness.
The handset is made of polymer composite making it light, strong and rigid. Nokia 7.2 features a gently curved design, with tough Corning Gorilla Glass at the front and the back, where it is light diffusing.
Inside, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and supports Android Pie. It also comes with two-day battery life promise.
As part of the Android One partnership, Nokia 7.2 is Android Q ready and will receive guaranteed monthly security updates for three years and OS updates for two years.
It also comes with a dedicated Google Assistant Button and has its new Ambient Mode, which provides an always-on-display when your device is charging. This allows users to view upcoming calendar entries, commute times and other contextual information without picking up the device. Google Assistant Ambient Mode can even transform a phone into a digital photo frame while charging.

The company claims that Nokia 7.2 users will receive a 3-month membership trial to Google One at no extra cost. Photos, videos, messages and more are safely and automatically backed up in the cloud, using the feature. Additionally, they will also get 100GB of cloud storage across Google Drive, Gmail and Google Photos and access to premium support from Google experience – all in one shareable family plan.
