Galaxy S8 seems to be a better Xmas gift than the iPhone X
The iPhone has always been considered a great gift for both your close ones, but at the same time, it is also expensive given the surging prices for the new models.
But turns out, it’s not the price of the iPhones that makes more people prefer the Galaxy S8 over an iPhone X, but the lack of essential features such as the headphone jack and the fingerprint sensor.
According to a survey by US market research firm Propeller Insights, there are up to 38 per cent of the respondents in the US want a Galaxy S8 for Christmas, while only 20 per cent wants an iPhone X as a present. More interestingly, at least 22 per cent of the adults want the iPhone 8.
That being said, the iPhone is still the popular choice amongst the teenagers. 35 per cent of the respondents falling into this category claimed they want an iPhone X this Christmas, and chose the iPhone 8 the most, which means no less than 70 per cent of the teenagers are Apple die-hards. Only 28 per cent of them wanted the Samsung Galaxy S8 for Christmas.
The survey included 1034 adults and 507 teenagers and was conducted at the request of US e-commerce firm Ebates.
Apple has already gone full cylinders to produce more iPhone X’s to match the demands during Christmas, as the initial supply was reportedly affected by production issues.
Many analysts expect to stocks to be ready in early 2018, following Apple and its suppliers addressing all production challenges by year-end.
