Huge Samsung Galaxy M10 and M20 leak reveals India prices
Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy M-series in India and apart from the design, not much is known in way of pricing. As per a recent report by 91Mobiles, sources have informed them the pricing of two of the three handsets that will launch.
The report states that IANS had spilt the prices of the Galaxy M10 and M20 with the website proclaiming the price of each handset at Rs 7,990 and Rs 10,990 respectively. It appears that the prices were a bit off and sources who are close to Samsung’s pricing strategy have informed 91Mobiles that the Samsung Galaxy M10 will cost Rs 8,990 while the Galaxy M20 will start at Rs 12,990. This shows that Samsung is betting a lot on this new line-up in India and have aggressively priced it in a bid to lure customers away from current fan favourite Xiaomi.
It’s reported that Samsung will be announcing the M-series in India on January 28 with sales starting more than a month later on March 5 as an Amazon exclusive. Samsung has partnered with Amazon for the launch of the M-Series of handsets that are set to replace the Galaxy J, Galaxy On, and Galaxy C series. This move by Samsung will be to simplify their line-up of handsets.
The Samsung Galaxy M10 will sport an Infinity-V notch with it having a 6.2-inch HD+ display. The device will be powered by an Exynos 7872 SoC and paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. It will run on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The Galaxy M10 is expected to feature a 13MP primary shooter with an F/1.9 aperture and a secondary 5MP sensor with an F/2.2 aperture. There will be a 3400mAh battery to keep the handset running.
The Samsung Galaxy M20 will feature a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and the selfie cam will be located in the Infinity V notch. The processor found here is an Exynos 7885 SoC with 3GB RAM and consumers will have an option between 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage. There will be a dual rear camera configuration that’s rated at 13MP and 5MP and like the Galaxy M10, it will run on Android 8.1 Oreo. To keep the Galaxy M20 juiced up, Samsung will add a 5000mAh battery.
