Leaked Nokia 9 sketches visualised into reality on YouTube
A few days back, NokiaPowerUser revealed some sketches of the alleged Nokia 9 smartphone that is supposed to be the flagship for the HMD Global-owned company. Now, a YouTube channel by the name of “Concept Creator” has released a video based on the sketches released.
The video shows the alleged Nokia 9 enclosed in glass body with a metal frame holding them together. The screen upfront has curved edges, like the LG G6 and the Samsung Galaxy S8. The bezel-less screen looks beautiful in the render, seeming to challenge the attractiveness of Samsung’s Infinity Display. The chamfered edges maintain the Nokia design language while eliminating any sharp edges.
There’s no home button in the front, which also points out that the fingerprint scanner could be sent to the rear. The physical earpiece is still there, along with sensor housings and the Nokia branding hogging up the rest of the space in the top panel. As for the rear, the design is similar to the Nokia 8’s leaked sketch, albeit with the fingerprint scanner taking its place in the camera housing. The phone should be surely finished in ceramic or glass, being the company’s flagship.
The Nokia 9 will be the cream of HMD Global’s lineup and could feature the SD835 chipset with Adreno 540 GPU, 4-6GB RAM, a 22MP PDAF camera with Carl Zeiss optics and a QHD OLED screen. The phone will operate on a near-stock Android Nougat 7.1 with pre-installed Google Apps suite.
However, the information may not turn out to be true in the future. But it gives us a glimpse of the upcoming Nokia flagship. The video surely makes the sketch concept look very desirable though. Stay tuned for further updates regarding the Nokia 9.
