Honor has unveiled a new entry-level smartphone in China — Honor Play 7. The Huawei-owned brand is offering a massive 24MP selfie camera, a large display and a decent 3020mAh battery. The device comes in three colour variants — Blue, Gold and Black colour.

The Honor Play 7 features a 5.45-inch HD+ (720x1440) display along with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the handset is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 chipset, clubbed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage, which is expandable up to 256GB.

The camera setup includes a 13MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash. As mentioned above, the device boasts of a 24MP front camera with a f/2.0 aperture, along with beauty mode and soft LED flash. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.2, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot, GPS, micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Unfortunately, the budget smartphone lacks a fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature.

The handset carries a price tag of CNY 599 (approximately Rs 6,400). As of now, it is not known whether Honor Play 7 will be unveiled in the Indian market.
