iPhone XS internals revealed in teardown video, gets small 2658mAh battery
Dismantling of new smartphones by YouTubers is nothing new and this time around, the devices are the much-hallowed iPhone XS and XS Max. Since iPhones boast of unibody design, it is always interesting to have a peek on the internals.
The teardown video was published by a Dutch tech blog and YouTube channel which goes by the name FixjeiPhone. As can be seen from the video, the host completely dismantles the iPhone XS and the larger iPhone XS Max only to reveal some interesting details about the smartphones.
The most prominent aspect about the internal circuitry of the new iPhones was learnt that they are more durable owing to the new watertight seals here and there. This make the new Apple devices complaint to the IP68 rating standard which conveys of them being water resistible up to 1 meters underwater which retains for 30 minutes. This is much better than the older IP67 rating standards. The host also brings to notice that the screen is not as easy to take off as it was on the iPhone X.
Yet another detail revealed about the hardware of the iPhone XS and XS Max is the L-shaped battery which is a single unit now, unlike the split cell of the iPhone X. However, the battery capacities have gone down further to 2658mAh for the iPhone XS and 2716mAh for the iPhone XS Max which is a bit of let down.
