iPhone 8 leaks in alleged employee presentation, could come with 512GB storage
With Samsung Galaxy Note 8 out of the rumour world, the iPhone 8 becomes the priority as this next generation of iPhone is supposed to be a revolutionary iPhone. New leaks on Weibo have unveiled the iPhone 8 on an internal presentation slides along with several details.
The iPhone 8 on the slides is similar to the ones we have been seeing on the web. The phone has a slim-bezel display just like the Essential PH-1. The slides also show the iPhone 8 to feature facial recognition, AR support and the much-awaited wireless charging on the iPhone. There’s no mention of the fingerprint scanner, a.k.a TouchID on the iPhone 8, which could hint at these two ways to unlock the phone — a display-embedded fingerprint scanner or the facial recognition.
Apart from that, another leak from Geekbar has suggested that the iPhone 8 will introduce a new storage variant — a 512GB model. The base variant is expected to sport 64GB storage whereas the middle variant will sport 256GB of storage. The inclusion of the 512GB storage means that the iPhone 8’s camera will churn some highly detailed photos, which is also proved by iOS 11’s HEIF/HEVC format photos.
The iPhone 8 is expected to be unveiled sometime in September, just like all other iPhone launches in its 10 years of existence.
