Xiaomi Mi 7 leak: expected specifications, price and more
Rumours of Mi 7 are already floating around and now a new report suggests that Xiaomi might unveil its next-generation flagship — Mi 7 at MWC 2018. As reported earlier, the Chinese company is said to be one of the exhibitors at this year MWC to showcase its products to a global audience.
An alleged press render of Mi 7 has surfaced online that revealed the front and back sides of the phone. Spotted by Techlector, the leak suggests that the design of the Mi 7 could take some shots from the Mi 6 and blend it with Mi Mix 2's bezel-less design. It is said to feature a dual camera setup and the phone is expected to ship with up to 6GB RAM. Moreover, the company has already revealed that the Mi 7 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. The Mi 7 will apparently be the first Xiaomi smartphone that will support wireless charging.
Expected Specifications, price
Currently, the screen size is not known but it might be bigger than the Mi 6 (5.15-inch) with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels.
The Mi 7 is speculated to come with an 18:9 bezel-less screen, that might push the fingerprint scanner on the rear unless the company decides to incorporate an in-display solution. It would likely retain a glass and steel body similar to the Mi 6.
The Mi 7 is expected to retain a dual camera system although Xiaomi might upgrade the sensors to get a better picture quality, especially in low light.
The Mi 7 would likely run MIUI 9. It is now clear whether it would be based on Android Nougat or Android Oreo. The Mi 7 is said to come with a 3000mAh battery with fast charging support. Interestingly, certain rumours claim that the Mi 7 will come with Apple iPhone X-like facial unlock technology. If rumours are to be believed the Mi 7 might come with a price tag of $500 (approximately Rs 31,800).
