Samsung will launch the Galaxy Fold in select markets starting as soon as September with India tipped to be the first.
After months of waiting, the news the entire world has been waiting for has finally arrived. Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Fold has passed its aggressive testing and will be launched in select markets starting from September 2019.
As per the release notes, Samsung states that it has taken the time to fully evaluate the product design, make necessary improvements and run rigorous tests to validate the changes we made. These design and construction improvements include:

Samsung is conducting final product tests to make Galaxy Fold available to consumers starting from September in select markets. Availability details will be shared as we get closer to the launch.
As per a related report by SAMmobile, the Galaxy Fold’s initial release will include US, South Korea, Germany, France, UK and India. This information is based on firmware files for the foldable handset’s units. Prior to the Galaxy Fold farce, Samsung was developing localized versions for more markets; however, it appears to have been put on hold for now.
