Sensitive mic issue hits the iPhone 8/8 Plus

Several iPhone 7 users and above are complaining about sensitive mic issues after upgrading to iOS 11.0.2.

It has been almost two months since Apple released iOS 11 to all supported iPhones, iPads and iPods around the world, and yet iOS bugs are still persistent, ruining overall experience for their users. Apple has released the iOS 11.1.2 patch recently to all supported devices and one unreported bug has finally caught the attention of the Apple forum. iPhone 7 and above users are experiencing an erratic mic behaviour after they update the second iOS 11 patches.

An iPhone 8 user has reported on the Apple forum in brief about the mic issue. According to the user, one needs to speak directly into the mic in order to let the other person hear the voice clearly. The user also reported the same problem for his father’s iPhone 8, which despite being replaced, is showing similar symptoms.

Several iPhone 7 users have also reported of the same issue occurring on their devices. The community has come to a conclusion that the sensitive mic issue is a byproduct of the iOS 11.0.2 update and they have been looking to the next major update for a fix. The next major update for all iOS devices will be iOS 11.2 update, which is currently available for beta users.
