OnePlus 3T will not be discontinued, confirms company

The Chinese company has now confirmed in a report that OnePlus 3T will be discontinued in Europe

Few weeks back, there were numerous reports that the OnePlus is looking to discontinue the 128GB version of its OnePlus 3T smartphone, but the Chinese company had revealed that the phone was only out of stock and more units soon.

The Chinese company has now confirmed in a report that OnePlus 3T will be discontinued in Europe starting June 1. The device will simply be out stock in the UK and the rest of European countries starting the first day of summer and no more units will be available for purchase.

OnePlus 3T mentioned in the blog post, “This is the last call to buy the OnePlus 3T before stock runs out. Only a few devices are left in our warehouse, so purchase yours before time runs out at onepl.us/3T.”

With the smartphone being discontinued, OnePlus is expected to continue providing timely updates for the device, as well as for the OnePlus 3, which was released slightly before the OnePlus 3T.

The move comes after the Chinese smartphone maker prepares to launch its latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 5. Some specs of the upcoming phone were already confirmed. The smartphone is slated to Qualcomm’s latest platform, the Snapdragon 835.

Additionally, OnePlus also partnered with DxOMark to equip the yet unconfirmed dual-lens setup on the back of the OnePlus 5 with features which would secure a spot at the top of the DxOMark scale of smartphones with the best cameras.

We reached out to OnePlus regarding the 3T’s fate of whether it will be discontinued and they stated, “The OnePlus 3T (both 64GB and 128GB variants) will continue to be available for purchase in India until later this year. OnePlus products and accessories are available through all three official sales channels, including oneplusstore.in, Amazon.in and the OnePlus Experience Store in Bangalore.”
