iTunes now available on Microsoft Store

The app's updates will also be handled by Microsoft Store.

A few days ago, we reported that Apple’s iTunes will make it to Microsoft Store pretty soon as a UWP app. Well, Windows 10’s Microsoft Store app has posted iTunes as an official Windows certified app and is free to download.

Users will be able to download iTunes on their Windows 10 computers. The app will look and function the same way as it has all through these years. However, the only difference that users will experience is app’s update — instead of iTunes notifying you of an update, the Microsoft Store app will notify and deliver updates to the app.

However, the conversion of iTunes as a UWP app will be a big benefit for those users who prefer Windows 10 S instead of the conventional versions of Windows 10. Windows 10 S only allows third-party app installation through the Store in the form of UWP apps. Therefore, if you are using the Microsoft Surface Book, then you can now manage all of your Apple devices through your computer, just like a normal Windows 10 computer.
