Andy Rubin's Essential phone starts shipping after months-long wait
After delays, Andy Rubin’s, Android co-founder, Essential phone has officially started shipping to customers who pre-ordered it.
The confirmation about shipping came in a tweet through Essential official handle, asking buyers to look out for tracking information to arrive by email sometime today. “We appreciate everyone's patience!” Essential added.

According to a report by The Verge, only the glossy black colour variant of PH1 is shipping now, the while colour option is listed ‘coming soon’, while the matte variant is yet not available for pre-orders. Also, the Essential’s 360-degree camera module isn’t yet shipping.
To recall, Essential PH-1 features an edge-to-edge 5.7-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2560x1312 pixels, with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 atop. The phone is powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The phone also sports dual camera lens on the rear, featuring two 13MP sensors. The Essential Phone PH-1 runs on stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and packs 3040mAh of battery.
